In the early days, Rich Nimey spent his mornings fixing trucks for local fleet accounts like Bogner Greenhouses on Herkimer Road — then spent his evenings doing the same for neighbors and friends.

He loved the work, not the money. He believed cars weren’t just machines; they were lifelines. That belief became the foundation for everything that followed.

Strength Born from Challenge

As Rich’s small shop grew, life threw him something unexpected. A sudden illness began affecting his mobility. Over time, he lost the ability to walk and eventually relied on a wheelchair. But he never stopped working.

He built, repaired, led, and encouraged — from that chair. He worked until the day he died, still asking for his stretch bands to keep his body strong because his mind never stopped pushing forward. His resilience inspired everyone around him — especially his family.

A Family’s Shared Dream

Rich’s wife, Cindy, left her cosmetology career to work beside him. Together, they taught their sons the meaning of hard work and service. When Matt took over, he didn’t just inherit a business — he inherited a calling.

By the early 2000s, Matt began to grow the operation quickly, expanding from those original bays to what is now one of Central New York’s most trusted independent dealerships.
