It only takes a minute to change someone's life. But a couple hours at Sleep in Heavenly Peace... that means even more. Volunteers from Nimey Auto Group and St. George's Church in New Hartford came together on Saturday, February 24th for a wonderful cause. With the help of Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), they were able to construct 38 beds. SHP was founded on one belief, all children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads. Founded in 2012, the non-profit has opened chapters all across the country, even expanding into Canada. Now with a location in Utica, they continue to create a lasting impact on the lives of children in Central New York. "It really is incredible the work that is done at SHP," says Matt Nimey, Owner of Nimey Auto Group. "I'm grateful to the members of both our company and church who came together to build beds today. You don't realize what we take for granted is something that could truly change another person's life."
